ABSTRACT
The main industrial processes that involve uranium are the excavation of uraniumcontaining ores and its application in the nuclear fuel cycle (NFC). A summary table of the types of facilities involved in the NFC was constructed by the Nuclear Fuel Cycle Information System (NFCIS) published as a technical document by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA-TECDOC-1613 2009) and reproduced as Table 2.1.
