ABSTRACT

The physical security architecture is the builder’s view of life – the bricks and mortar of your enterprise security architecture. The previous chapter looked at logical functionality and flow. Now you need to look at physical boxes, how many of them, where they are located, their size and performance and how much bandwidth you need to connect them together. You also need to look at the physical data structures that are used to realise logical information structures and at the physical security mechanisms that implement the logical security services.
