ABSTRACT

New functional nanocomposite materials with impregnated nanoparticles are in the forefront of nanobased water treatment methods. In this chapter, the recent developments on chitosan-based nanocomposites having nanoparticles as impregnated materials and their applications in heavy metal removal will be discussed.
