Introduction to Root Cause Analysis

Root cause analysis is the process of searching for a root cause, the x of the previous formula. The root cause could be the cause of a failure or a condition, such as the reason for the actual output of a process. Each root cause investigation is different, so it is not advisable to seek one method for every situation; rather, a toolbox containing many different tools to use as appropriate is a better approach to RCA.
