ABSTRACT
There are many potential tools available to assist in root cause analysis (RCA). The most well-known collection of tools is the seven quality tools that were originally brought together by Kaoru Ishikawa. The tools were intended for RCA performed by production personnel. They are relatively simple to use, yet highly effective as part of an RCA. The classic seven quality tools are an essential part of any RCA tool kit.
