ABSTRACT
Caterpillar is ranked No. 42 on the 2013 Fortune 500 list of U.S. companies and No. 155 on the 2012 Fortune International list of companies. They had sales of over $65 billion dollars in 2012, with income of over $8 billion and are the largest industrial equipment manufacturer in the United States. Their closest competitor, John Deere, is about one-half the size, with $34 billion in revenues (Fortune 500 2013).
