ABSTRACT
Aesthetic facial surgery entails the practice of a branch of surgery for which there is usually no medical requirement. It aims to change the appearance of the patient for aesthetic reasons alone and
at the patient’s request. It is the patient who has decided that he or she is not happy with his or her appearance. Although fraught with potential problems, aesthetic facial surgery can be an immensely satisfying branch of surgery.
