ABSTRACT
According to NAT, the definition is very straightforward and depicts the tight coupling of various aspects and system components (e.g., people, equipment, procedures). Due to the complex relationships and interdependencies of these tightly coupled and often highly automated systems, the timing of tasks does not even allow for human intervention.
