ABSTRACT

Ultimately organizational transformation of the kind we describe in this book comes down to individual transformation. The rest of the chapters of the book discuss organizational, team, and society-wide systems to engage the necessary individual participation. This chapter deals with individual transformation independent of existing systems for two reasons: even within an existing system, a person can do more individually to get additional benefit from the system, and an individual may want to do an improvement effort in the absence of an organizational system to encourage the effort.
