ABSTRACT

The Project Management Institute’s Agile Certified Practitioner* is a global credential that identifies a professional-level knowledge of agile concepts, practices, tools, and techniques across diverse agile methodologies. When the credential is earned, a potential employer knows that the holder has attained a professional level of competence in agile methods. The PMI is a highly credible organization that certifies individuals in project management practices. Benefits of this certification include increased professional resourcefulness in project management and the attainment of a credential from an organization that is highly respected all over the world. The PMI-ACP credential is maintained by earning 30 professional development units (PDUs) in agile project management for each three-year cycle after attainment. PMI’s Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR) online program is used to report PDU information. Table 13.2 outlines the eligibility requirements for the PMI-ACP credential.
