ABSTRACT
The combustion processes in dual-fuel engines tend to be more complex than those of the common gas-fueled spark ignition or diesel engines. Some of the combustion features that can represent design and operational challenges are the following:
• The fuel gas tends to be less completely oxidized at light load, which tends to increase the specific energy consumption and exhaust emissions of those unburned hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide.
