ABSTRACT
History It is important to obtain a history of the dietary management of the sheep including type and amounts of particular feeds. Sheep fed brous diets have a more distended rumen than those fed solely concentrates. They will have one or two full contraction cycles per minute, which is more frequent than sheep fed large quantities of concentrates.
