ABSTRACT
Interstitial fluid flow is flow of the fluid found in interstitial space of tissues, convectively transporting nutrients, cellular waste products, and even large proteins. This constantly moving fluid, which makes up nearly 20% of an average human’s body weight, has garnered much interest from researchers over recent years; in particular, the focus has been placed on understanding the physiological role this fluid flow plays on cellular behavior and the microenvironment [4].
