ABSTRACT
Most systems of interest and value have variables that change as a function of time. A dynamic system is one with the property that (in principle) the future state of the system is completely determined by the present state by means of a well-defined set of laws. The structure of these laws both characterizes and defines the dynamic behavior of the system.
