ABSTRACT
In order to add buffers, we need to go through three steps. First, we must identify the points where the three types of buffers go — the project, feeding, and resource buffers. As we will see, once the Critical Chain is identified that becomes easy. Second, we must decide how large the buffers should be. How much protection do we need? Third, we must reschedule tasks, preferably earlier, to accommodate the buffers; that way the buffers will be available to protect the project.
