ABSTRACT
The most important question is “What is the schedule designed to accomplish?” We have the answer to that at the start of Chapter 10. We want to maximize throughput, meaning get as many projects completed as quickly as possible. We want to minimize inventory, meaning keeping the smallest possible amount of work-in-process, and hence the shortest possible lead times.
