ABSTRACT
He reaches out his arm to pick up the phone and lets out a low groan. There is a base with a flashing light, but no phone. He thinks, “Wouldn’t it be a good idea to tie the handset to the base with a cable? It would make it so much easier to find.” He scans the room while simultaneously lifting the cushions off the chair. The phone is sitting next to the coffeemaker-again. “Maybe I should move the base there,” he thinks.
