After passaging the cells and allowing them to reattach, we will introduce a plasmid or plasmids into the cells using a liposomal transfection method. What is fortunate about this method is that two (or even more) plasmids can be mixed together in equal ratios and will “cotransfect” into cells: at is, a cell that receives one plasmid must receive the other. is opens many possibilities for creativity in these experiments.
