In this section, we will study more about flow characteristics and the way that some fluids change their viscosity, according to how much they are being stirred.
Many drilling fluids are described as ‘thixotropic’, which means that they form a gel or gel up when allowed to stand still, and they thin out again when pumped or stirred.
