ABSTRACT
Our model has used the anesthetized cat infused intravenously with pentylenetetrazol (PTZ). This chemical is known to produce seizures (Hahn 1960; Lathers et al. 1984). It is important to note that most epileptic patients who die unexpectedly are found on autopsy to have cortical lesions, which probably served as seizure foci during life (Leestma et al. 1984).
