ABSTRACT
Today, robots are being used in many diverse areas and applications, and their safety-related problems have increased quite signicantly. Each area and application may call for specic precautions for programmers, operators, robot systems, maintenance workers, and so on. In order to meet needs such as these, various organizations have, over the years, developed documents that are specically concerned with robot safety.
