ABSTRACT
In Chapter 6, we discussed the range of risks and their mitigation associated with the design and construction of deep and long tunnels. In this Chapter, we present a similar overview for the design and construction risks associated with hydropower cavern groups-as a further illustrative case example. The book’s thematic flowchart in the Frontispiece and included in the previous Chapter as Figure 6.3 is also the structural guide to the content of this Chapter.
