ABSTRACT
In this chapter, the fundamentals of transport phenomena that are used to model wax deposition are discussed in detail. We keep in mind that most mathematical models, no matter how complicated they are, should be based on a description of physical phenomena with certain assumptions. Therefore, before introducing these transport theories, let us first review the two utterly most important questions:
• What is wax deposition? • How does wax deposition occur?
