ABSTRACT
Contusions are commonly known as bruises. Hematomas are caused by damage to a blood vessel that in turn causes blood to collect under the skin. Crushing injuries are caused when a great or extreme amount of force is applied over a long period of time. Fractures are a break in the continuity of the bone. Stellate tearing is a tearing of the skin that resembles a star.
