ABSTRACT
The DEOS Runtime Environment (D-RE) provides the execution environmentor in general terms, the operating system-for application programs in the DEOS Architecture in order that the DEOS Process may be carried out. In this chapter, we fi rst look at its design concept and basic structure, and then at a web system application and robots as case studies. Our approach to security and methods developed accordingly for D-RE are also described.
