ABSTRACT

Much of the previous discussion has focused on simple examples, often toy examples, of ARA. This chapter is an extended case study based upon a real application in railway security. Many of the details have been changed, partly because the client requires confidentiality, and partly because the actual implementation of the study differed from what might have been ideal. Therefore, the data presented is realistic but not actual data. Nonetheless, this chapter provides an example with realistic complexity, and lays out a blueprint for how an ARA of railway security, or security in any similar situation, should be done.
