ABSTRACT
A trial that is conducted in more than one center is generally referred to as a multisite, multicenter, or multiclinic trial. With such a trial, randomization to treatment conditions is done at the subject level within each center and more than one treatment is available within each center. Multisite trials are widely used in the medical sciences to compare different types of medication or surgery.
