ABSTRACT
Most oen characteristics or traits are things about an individual, group of individuals, or thing that dierentiates one from another. In other words, characteristics and traits are special qualities that make something unique (Merriam-Webster, 2014, para. 1). When exploring crime scene staging dynamics in homicide cases, it is very important to consider the characteristics or traits of the oender. Although a few empirical studies have identi-ed information about the oender through scientic research on numerous staging behaviors, additional research is desperately needed in this area toward lling the gaps in some of the grayer areas toward really understanding who is the offender?
