ABSTRACT
The Introduction is the rst chapter of the report or thesis and its chief function is to familiarise the reader with your research problem and the relevant literature. The literature review may be a section within the Introduction or written as a separate chapter following the Introduction. The Literature Review as a separate chapter is a more in-depth counterpart of the literature review section within the Introduction. In a thesis, the Literature Review as a separate chapter is usually the norm.
