ABSTRACT

In 2003, in an affront to the safety and fair peace of the community of Prince George’s County, Maryland, a young resident named Kalvin Kyle decided to go for the big time by carjacking another citizen’s car. Unfortunately for Kalvin, yet good for the citizens, the victim he chose was an off-duty police officer. The officer shot and arrested Kyle. Sentenced to a lengthy jail term for that carjacking, Kyle was supposed to spend many years in prison.
