ABSTRACT

Before implementing an innovation strategy, the organization needs to diagnose its present situation. Like Alice in Wonderland, the organization must peer through the looking glass. Often, the need for innovation arises from an existing program or possible opportunity. Conducting the review occurs after the assessment phase is completed but before identifying the best innovation strategy for implementation. Figure 7.1 details the steps involved. The technique begins when an organization (agency) expresses interest in working with Innovation Processes and Solutions, LLC (IPS). Prior to performing any work, we first analyze the present environment, including an assessment interpretation. Analytics provides the information collected; diagnostics provides the interpretation and follow-through.
