ABSTRACT

There is no doubt that for many critical applications of polymers, reinforcing agents will produce dramatic improvements of mechanical and other physical properties [1-3], such as tensile strength and flexural modulus. In this chapter, work on the effects on physical properties of several types of reinforcing agents is reviewed. We consider the effects of various reinforcing agents on the mechanical properties of a wide range of polymers.
