ABSTRACT
From the beginning of this book, we have emphasized the intimate connection between equilibrium and dynamics. The philosophy here is to keep that connection explicit in order to reinforce both topics-rather than, as is usual, first treating equilibrium topics in full. The more complete one’s physical and statistical intuition, the better. Dynamical topics and their connection to equilibrium therefore will be revisited and reinforced throughout the book.
