ABSTRACT
In the previous chapter, the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol and certificates are introduced for protecting the application layer protocols, especially HTTP during IP communication across the Internet. In this chapter, we are going to examine another security technology used to protect Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) used for IP communication over the Internet.
