ABSTRACT
The application of nanotechnology can be found in many everyday items. The application of Microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) and nanotechnology is overlapping everywhere. The automotive industry has become one of the main drivers for the development of MEMS for other equally demanding environments. Some of the leading airbag accelerometer manufacturers include Analog Devices, Motorola, SensorNor and Nippondenso. One of the more interesting applications of MEMS is in tyre pressure monitoring, or even real-time measure of tyre pressure to ensure both safety and optimized fuel performance. Though nanotechnology is a relatively new science, it already has numerous applications in everyday life, ranging from consumer goods to medicine to improving the environment. To improve and monitor the environmental condition, nanotechnology is being used extensively. Even in the sports equipment, the nanotechnology has shown its expertise to make it robust and long lasting.
