ABSTRACT
The mechanical properties of a material determine its limitations for structural applications where the material is required to sustain a load. To make a judicious material selection for such applications, it is useful to understand mechanical properties terminology, theory, and test approaches as well as to obtain the specific property data for the candidate materials.
