ABSTRACT
This chapter summarizes the most important studies carried out so far in the field of modeling, simulation, and control of GTs by using a white-box approach. White-box models of GTs can be categorized into low-power GT, IPGT, and aero GT models. In an IPGT, the mechanical power generated by the GT can be used by an alternator to produce electrical power. However, in an aero GT, the outgoing gaseous fluid can be utilized to generate thrust.
