ABSTRACT
This statement from M. Korolec at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Warsaw 2013 should be an incentive to think about new technologies required to face increasing energy demand. Based on the proportional relationship between affluence and energy consumption, not only established markets such as the United States, Europe or Japan will have increasing energy requirements in the next decades but the emerging markets as well. From this point of view it is very important to consider renewable energy sources for the extended energy needs.
