ABSTRACT
Introduction There are many acoustically successful ways to design the ceiling of a multi-use hall. The ceiling and roof proposal will need to address many competing goals. For example, there must be adequate space for adjustable acoustic banners, drapes, or panels to be stored and deployed to control RT and overall acoustic energy. Diffusion must be incorporated into the design as well as surfaces for reflections to enhance clarity and control echoes and focusing.
