ABSTRACT
Chapter 10 introduces the concept of a workflow-what it is and, from a historical perspective, how an effective understanding of workflow is crucial to an organization’s ability to determine its present state. The development or use of a workflow schematic diagram is critical to understanding any existing system or when considering the introduction or modification of a new technology or process.
