ABSTRACT

Corrosion tests, interpretations, and applications of the results are considered to be a most important aspect of corrosion science and engineering. Well-planned and well-executed tests result in repeatability and reliability. These tests can be divided into laboratory tests, pilot plant tests, and field tests. The anticorrosion properties of conducting polymer coatings on active metals using laboratory tests are well documented in the literature. However, a fewer number of pilot plant and field tests were found to be conducted.
