ABSTRACT

When I first encountered the term telehealth, like many people, I thought it referred to talking to your doctor over the telephone. Of course, I now know better; telehealth is a much larger topic and much more complex than one might initially think. Over the course of almost two years, the team (Gary Bankston, Justin Roach, Bill Roth, Roger Jahnke, and myself, referred throughout this book as we) over various times delved into the quagmire that is telehealth and came up with some rather surprising truths regarding whether or not telehealth is a good thing. This book is the outcome of our investigation.
