ABSTRACT
After a fantastic, educational month in Oregon, Jeanne Smith returns home to Careville. During her stay in Oregon, Lean development has been on a slow burner at Careville. Now that Smith’s back, she and her team pick up where they left off and forge ahead. The experiences from Oregon are a great help. Additionally, trust and belief in Lean among top management at Careville has been strengthened by the visit to the Robert Kennedy Hospital, which is a great help. The Lean program, scheduled to launch in a few months, is also under active development.
