ABSTRACT
Neurotoxins disrupt the nervous system and interfere with nerve impulse transmission that is similar to nerve agents. However, all neurotoxins do not operate through the same mechanism of action nor do they produce the same symptoms. The clinical symptoms from poisoning by any individual toxin can vary widely with route of exposure and dose.
