ABSTRACT
Nothing could be further from the truth, and Sir Isaac Newton explained it many years ago when he came up with his ird Law of Motion: To each action there is an equal and opposite reaction. In other words, if a bullet is capable of knocking a grown adult down, the adult person holding and ring that gun would be knocked down as well. Certainly, there are guns that re bullets capable of knocking a grown man down on both ends of the gun (i.e., shooter and victim). A 120-mm howitzer immediately comes to mind. Also note that the involved persons have been described as “grown adults.” If the rearm was shot by a child, certainly the child might be knocked down by the recoil of the gun upon discharge. us, we limit our discussion to adults ring/being hit by bullets red from small arms (i.e., handguns and long guns).
