ABSTRACT

The textiles for packaging are not a part of the indoor environment, which can be associated with the human comfort. But the polypropylene woven bags (PPWB), which are the object of the study in this chapter, are a specific product with very interesting macrostructure: these textiles are made of strips, which are not able to transfer fluids. In this context, the evaluation of the behavior of the macrostructure only binds to its porosity, without any influence of the pores in the mesostructure, which exist in the case of staple fiber yarns or polyfilaments.
