ABSTRACT
This chapter gives an overview of the known types of natural product skeletons with their numbering, or where there are skeletal variations within the group, an illustration is given of a representative example compound. Groups are listed in the order of the type of compound classication scheme of the Dictionary of Natural Products (DNP) and the codes given with each heading refer to that scheme.
