ABSTRACT
Standard conditions for temperature and pressure are used to define reference conditions for the expression of the volume of gases and the related quantities, e.g., volumetric gas flow. Many properties of gases, such as density, thermal conductivity, and boiling point, depend on temperature and pressure. When specifying values for gas properties, it is necessary to indicate the reference conditions of temperature and pressure. Unfortunately, various different standard conditions are defined which often result in confusion.
