ABSTRACT
In this chapter, the authors will discuss human growth and development from birth through adolescence. It is designed to offer a general outline of the typical motor, cognitive, and psychosocial maturation that occurs between infancy and adulthood. The chapter covers growth and development during infancy; however the main focus will be on childhood and adolescence (Table 16.1).
