ABSTRACT

In Chapter 6 we have discussed electron spin resonance (ESR)

lineshapes for nitroxide radicals containing 14N and 15N isotopes.

For this purpose we have considered a two-spin system consisting

of an electron spin and a nuclear spin of 15N or 14N. In this chapter

we shall go a step further and enquire how the isotropic hyperfine

coupling between the electron spin and the nitrogen spin affects

proton (1H) spin relaxation when the paramagnetic species are

dissolved in proton containing liquids.
